Pick up your bread weapon and prove who's boss in the kitchen — or kindly escort the angry guests... with force. Time’s ticking, and the guests are hungry! Dropped it on the floor? Come on — we’re rats, what did you expect? The game itself played okay. The targeting could be a little cleaner, the rats look a little glassy-eyed and hollow, the French accent was... certainly a choice. It didn't crash in my relatively short playtime. I can already see there appears to be a good bit of complexity in recipes and equipment and ingredient availability. This could become annoyingly complex as the game progresses, but it was fine in the tutorial. Grilling mushrooms to create a dish called "Fried Mushrooms" felt more lazy than humorous. There isn't much "immersion" here but I understand it's made to be a silly fun game to play with friends, complete with Twitch integration.

The setting immediately establishes the game’s personality. Players are placed inside a fantasy world filled with unusual visitors, magical creatures, and absurd situations that constantly threaten to derail restaurant operations. Customers range from skeletons and monsters to fantasy-inspired characters with different expectations and behaviors. The restaurant itself slowly evolves from a modest establishment into a far more demanding operation that tests organization, efficiency, and teamwork. The medieval atmosphere gives Restaurats its own identity while separating it from more traditional restaurant simulators.
